The journey of establishing Vasu Eye & Institute was not easy, the way was long and the wind was cold. Dr. Gourav Mangla shifted to Bathinda with 1/4th of the salary he was getting in Ambala. He joined SD Mahabir dal on 1st of July 2009.

Dr. Gourav Mangla first establish Vasu Retina Centre with own investment in SD Mahabir Dal Hospital on 16th May 2010. He purchased his own Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Green Laser, Vitrectomy and other equipments for retina surgery with his own hard-earned money. He purchased the first OCT of Bathinda in 2011. He started speciality Glaucoma Clinic first time in Bathinda in 2012.

Dr. Ruchi started Vasu Skin Centre in SD Mahabirdal Hospital in July 2010, again with her own investment. He is self made men, He is only doctor in his family and comes from a middle class family. Nobody supported him except his wife from beginning. Even banks refused him to give him loans as Bathinda was a foreign land for him, no guarantor, no land to pledge.

But his ambitions make him start his own venture. Any how he manage to get loan under Government scheme and finally started Vasu Eye & Skin Centre in 2018. Now we are helping thoudands of patients every year, Money is not our target even we treat hundreds of patients on charitable trusts rates. We feel proud to say that we are providing the quality care in Eye & Skin segment for which patients were travelling to chandigarh, delh or pther farby places.

Vasu Eye & Skin Centre is the only hospital in region which has Cataract, Glaucoma, Retina, Cornea and Paediatric ophthalmology clinic, run by respective superspecialist eye surgeons. We kept name as Vasu Eye Institute as we follow the protocols of treatment as in institutions, we want to establish it as an training institute for doctors and paramedics.
